Tenways was founded in 2021 and entered the e-bike market following a successful crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo. With offices in China, Hong Kong, and the Netherlands, a global supply chain, and assembly facilities and warehouses in Europe, the brand has established itself in the US and abroad.
The company’s growing line of e-bikes are geared towards commuters in urban areas, with a focus on making daily travel fast, fun, and environmentally friendly. Tenways also aims to make its e-bikes affordable and accessible to all, so as to encourage riders to live a healthy and active lifestyle. The brand has built a community of loyal, like-minded customers through social media.
To meet their environmentally-conscious goals, Tenways works with non-profits such as Just One Tree to offset their carbon production; for every e-bike the brand sells, the organization plants a tree. Since their partnership began, the non-profit has planted over 20,000 trees through reforestation projects in Peru, Kenya, Mexico, Brazil, and Madagascar.
Tenways also places a focus on sustainable production and manufacturing, with the goal of reaching a zero-emissions process. On the humanitarian side, the company works with Wheels 4 Life to provide people in developing countries with e-bikes.
We have found much to love about the Tenways bikes we’ve tested, from their sleek, contemporary styling to their intuitive operation and useful mobile app. We look forward to reviewing more e-bikes from the brand in the future, but in the meantime, see below to learn more about the models we have extensive hands-on experience riding.
